It’s great to share screen space with a disciplined actor like Gashmeer Mahajani: Mayuri Deshmukh of ‘Imlie’

Star Plus’ one of the most celebrated shows, ‘Imlie’, has kept the audiences hooked with its stellar story-line! The show has managed to grab a lot of eyeballs along with the loyal audiences who are completely hooked to the show. The show’s ever-growing popularity and viewers’ love for artists is clearly visible from its ratings. The show is set to witness a major high point as the lead actor of the show Gashmeer Mahajani who plays the character of Aditya Kumar Tripathi has decided to quit the show.

India Forums got in touch with actress Mayuri Deshmukh aka Malini Chaturvedi and asked her about her experience on working with Gashmeer. Deshmukh quipped, “It’s an absolute delight to work with a professional and disciplined actor like Gashmeer. It was a great experience knowing a person like him who’s a great performer and a nice human being. Quitting a show or staying in it is a personal choice and I don’t want to comment on his decision”.

We asked the beautiful actress about her favorite track or scene with Mahajani, she added, “Well, I feel almost all the scenes were great with Gashmeer but I personally enjoyed the initial days where Aditya and Malini used to fight a lot. The scenes came out very natural. We both try to improvise and end up adding our inputs in those scenes which worked out well and were also appreciated by the viewers”.

Majani and Deshmukh connected instantly as both belonged to a Maharashtrian community and were often spotted having banters in Marathi. When asked about the same Mayuri said, “Yes, we were instantly connected as we belonged to the same culture. At times there were anecdotes or references that were mentioned belonging to the Maharashtrian community or at times there were mentions of Marathi plays; we both have a theater background too, so we did connect on those aspects also. However, speaking in Marathi with each other came very naturally to us. It wasn’t like a deliberate effort. It’s like two Bengali people speaking in Bengali. Overall, it has been a great journey with Gashmeer”.
