Star Plus show ‘Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali’ is getting quite interesting with each passing episode. The current track of the show revolves around Sunny instigating Esha to reunite with Raghav as Pallavi is not a right person for Raghav. Esha is trying hard to create a rift between the two.

An interesting parallel track is also happening in the show wherein Milind encounters Sulochana’s lookalike Rajni. India Forums got in touch with actress Snehal Reddy who plays the character of Sulochana and Rajni and asked her about the double role track and her reaction to the same. She said, “When the track was narrated, I got ecstatic to play the part. I am quite fortunate as I’ve got the chance of portraying many shades of a character in the show. From an out and out antagonist to a villain with a comedy tinge and a flirt, I’ve played many emotions and I was glad to take up the challenge of playing double role in the show”.

Talking about the challenges of playing a double role, Snehal added, “Sulochana is a greedy Maharashtrian lady who always cribs and complains while Rajni is a South-Indian lady who’s totally opposite to Sulochana as she is a good person at heart. It’s like Sita and Gita. Both the characters are totally contrasting; in terms of look and also the personality traits and hence when I play Rajni for a long period and have to switch to Sulochana, I stuck and get confused with the South-Indian accent. Controlling that is quite a task but I’m loving the challenge and the feedback so far is also quite positive”.
