It's CONFIRMED! Star Dopahar to SHUT on September 30!
The shows will shut down after a run-time of 4 months.

Star Plus is all set to shut down their Star Dopahar section that they had launched a few months ago with great pomp. And no prizes for guessing the reason - their TRP game is not strong.
Out of the four shows that were launched - Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka, Dhhai Kilo Prem, Ek Aastha Aise Bhii and Tu Sooraj Mai Saanjh Piyaji, Tu Sooraj... was shifted to the evening slot of 7 pm after Saath Nibhana Saathiya ended. And soon enough, Love Ka Hai Intezaar was granted a place in the afternoon slot.
And if the TRP charts are to be believed, the afternoon slot shows are doing good as per the afternoon TRP calculation, but looks like these numbers are not enough for the channel.
The channel has now taken a call to shut down all the shows and as per reports, the last date for all the shows to wrap up is September 30.
The producers of the shows also confirmed the news to the media.

why cant this whole channel shut down...its one of the most biased networks...practices favoritism among their shows & actors...doesn't equally promote every show...only favors the rich production houses...with the big name producers...otherwise treats every show the way they treated Suhani Si Ek Ladki...changed its slot for that flop Meri Durga...which doesnt have half the ratings SSEL garnered...not even the ratings it had when its slot got moved!

Good news for Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji , I love the show but at same time sorry for other shows with great content which should have been taken seriously. It's not good to pull it off like that Just for TRPs
