It was a painful experience: Ayesha Singh of ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ on a recent scene

Star Plus show ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ has kept the fans glued to the TV screens. As informed by India Forums, Sai hallucinates about spending time with Vinayak and suffers a magnificent emotional break down.

Ayesha Singh who plays the character of Sai in the show is always lauded for the relatable portrayal of the character and aces the emotional scenes to the T and yet again, Ayesha gave a splendid performance which gained immense love from the audience.

We got in touch with Ayesha and asked her about her experience of shooting the sequence, she said, “So, when the team was discussing the hallucination scenes and Sai’s emotional break down, they were all in tears. I believe everyone including me knew that it’s a very sensitive scene and needs to be dealt with extreme sensitivity by all departments. It was heart wrenching to perform the scene but luckily I had the entire journey of Sai as a backing”.

She added, “From Sai’s miscarriage to her not able to conceive a baby to her educating the family about surrogacy. She faced betrayal in the surrogacy process, but still she let it go and embraced motherhood. Then, she took a stand for herself and the baby and decided to leave the house post which she lost her first baby. Later, she found out that she’s pregnant and Savi came into her life, however, the void of the first born was always there in her life. After a lot of struggle, she finally got her Vinu back, but he abandoned her which broke her into pieces. I always felt a connection with Tanmay (Vinayak) which helped me perform and feel the scene better. Also, in my real-life, I’m very close my niece and nephew. It was undoubtedly a painful experience but it was the creative requirement and I’m quite touched with the response of the fans. "

Talking about the feedback from fans, Ayesha added, “It’s so emotional. I’m getting immense love for the sequence. Fans have showered me with beautiful messages, gifts, cards and flowers. I received many bouquets with sweet messages stating how fans feel connected with the character. Some also stated that they cry when Sai cries. The amount of appreciation has left me overwhelmed. I’m trying to acknowledge all the feedback that my well-wishers are showering me with by reposting them on social media. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their love”.
