It feels great playing Tia in Ishqbaaaz - Navina Bole

Actress Navina Bole has been receiving a lot of hate for being the 'kebab mein haddi' between Shivaay and Anika in Star Plus' Ishqbaaaz. In a freewheeling chat, Navina describes her feeling about playing one of the most hated characters on Indian television.

How has the experience of playing Tia been so far?

It feels great. The best part is that Tia is one character that has seen a lot of changes in the character graph. I am really enjoying playing this role because there is so much to do now. There is a new facet of Tia coming out every single day, which opens up a lot for me as an actor to explore.

Are you in favor of playing positive characters or negative characters?

Any role, be it negative or positive, comes with its own set of challenges. The advantage of playing a positive character is that it is often similar to your true self. And when it comes to negative roles, you're putting yourself into the shoes of a more vicious and mean person.

Do you relate to the character of Tia?

I do not quite relate to Tia's character, but I completely understand where she is coming from and why she is doing what she is. You do not need to relate to your character in terms of personalities, but having a better understanding and getting into the skin of your character, always works in your favor and is something that I believe in.

Tia's character in the show is all about the power of the universe and positivity. Do you believe in these concepts in real life?

I am a firm believer of positivity and the power of the universe. The universe is the guiding force in my life and you are constantly made to believe that the best is yet to come, because it is a cycle, after good there is bad and there will always be various ups and downs.

How good is your bond with your Ishqbaaaz co-stars off screen?

The entire cast and crew of Ishqbaaaz is extremely talented and passionate about what they do. Right from our directors to my co-actors, there is a lot of good energy on the sets of the show.

Well, all that hard work and hate is paying off for Navina, isn't it? Her show is being appreciated and so are her acting skills.
