In 2002, Shahid Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with the film Ishq Vishq alongside Amrita Rao. After 17 years to this teenage romance film, the makers are reportedly working on the film’s sequel.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, the makers are considering Shahid’s half brother Ishaan Khatter to play the lead role in the sequel. "The makers are currently working on the script for the movie. Ishq Vishq was very young in nature, and hence, who better than Ishaan Khatter, who exhibits the required charm and innocence for the role. Apparently, the idea has been discussed with Ishaan but that's it," revealed a source close to the entertainment website.
The sequel will be helmed by Ramesh Taurani. The source also added that the makers are of the view that who better than Ishaan to portray the same innocence and charm as his brother at that age. Though nothing is finalised as yet and discussions are at a very preliminary stage, it will be exciting to see the Dhadak actor step in the shoes of his older brother, Shahid Kapoor.
Meanwhile, talking of Ishaan, he made his debut with Majid Majidi's Beyond The Clouds and then went on to star in Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak alongside Janhvi Kapoor.
