Irrfan Khan who was battling NeuroEndrocine Tumor was admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Tuesday, April 28, 2019 following a Colon Infection that he had contracted. Upon admission he was immediately taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and was being treated for the same. The fight was tough but the actor managed to put up a brave front and was giving his best.
However, after fighting for hours together, this morning at around 11 am IST, Irrfan Khan gave up and surrendered. At the age of 54, the man who gave the Hindi Cinema innumerable remarkable characters and movies, left for heavenly abode.
Now, Irrfan's last film happens to be his recently released film, Angrezi Medium which also starred Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Dimple Kapadia, Deepak Dobriyal, Ranvir Shorey and Kiku Sharda.
Owing to his health issues, the actor was not able to promote the film but still made sure to give a few interviews. The film's producer Dinesh Vijan extended him his complete support and was with him in every decision.
Irrfan had also made it clear about his plans ahead with a very polite message on social media, by saying that, "Owing to some unwanted guests (cancer) in his body, he wouldn't be able to participate in the promotions of Angrezi Medium as he had to leave the country for treatment."
Post which he had recorded an audio message addressing his fans and the reason he won't be able to promote his film. Below is the audio message that he had recorded and it's now become his last message where he can be seen speaking his heart out.
