Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan and her longtime boyfriend Nupur Shikhare exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony on December 3rd, marking the beginning of their marital journey. The unconventional wedding, covered extensively by the media, showcased a blend of love, uniqueness, and personal style.

Just a day after the nuptials, Ira Khan took to her Instagram stories to share a captivating selfie with her newly-wedded husband, Nupur Shikhare. The photograph, however, carries a charming twist – Ira dons a headband reading 'bride to be,' but in the shared picture, she creatively strikes out the 'to be,' leaving only 'bride' visible. The post not only exudes playfulness but also adds a touch of whimsy to the couple's post-wedding celebrations.

The wedding itself was a departure from traditional norms, with Nupur Shikhare taking an unconventional route to the venue. Ditching the conventional modes of transportation, the fitness enthusiast jogged all the way from Santacruz to Bandra in Mumbai to ensure he reached the ceremony on time, embodying his unique flair.

Ira Khan, radiating elegance, chose a deep blue blouse paired with pastel pink harem pants, complemented by a matching dupatta. Nupur, once again defying expectations, opted for a black vest, white shorts, and green sneakers. The groom stuck to his distinctive style even during the wedding registration, donning a blue sherwani later in the event.

The star-studded ceremony saw the presence of Bollywood heavyweights, including Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Reena Dutta, as well as industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani. 

The love story between Nupur Shikhare and Ira Khan unfolded over time, with a memorable proposal during a triathlon in 2022. The couple further celebrated their commitment with an engagement ceremony in November 2022.
