Indira Krishnan in Afsar Bitiya...

Indira Krishnan set an example by standing up for the rights and educated people with her 'krishnagiri' in Sony TV's Krishnaben Khakhrawala. Now she is all set to play a dramatically opposite character in Zee TV's upcoming show Afsar Bitiya.

A source says, "Indira will play a mother to Kinshuk Mahajan who will later become a supportive mother-in-law to the lead girl. She plays a strong character of a Bihar Thakurain who is the binding strength of the house."

We contacted Indira and she confirmed the news saying, "Yes I am playing the character of Ganga. The reason I took up this show is because of Raakesh Paswan who is a very good writer. I had worked with him long time back and that's when he told me that he will cast me when he launches his production house. He kept his word. Also I have never played a Bihari character in my life and I wanted to try."

Afsar Bitiya goes on air from December 19 on Zee TV.
