Independence week with Kratika Sengar.

15th August, the Indian Independence Day marks the freedom of our county and the people.  The people who have made this day possible are our Late Freedom Fighters who sacrificed their lives to gift us a life free from the daunting British Raj. On this special day, we will celebrate the Independence Week where we will get in touch with Telly Celebs to share their feelings about this precious day.

We spoke to Kratika Sengar to share her thoughts on Independence day.

What does independence day mean to you?

Independence day is a day to be proud of, India got freedom on this very day and something that should not to be forgotten is the contribution of the great freedom fighters. If it was not for them we would not have seen this day. I salute to all the great men who have done a lot for our country.

The difference between celebrating Independence Day as a child and now as a grown up?

When we were kids there was no stress, only studies and then we used to think when will we grow up and now when we have  grown up we say how we wish we were kids and want to go back to school. The way we celebrated Independence Day is no longer the same. Now we don't get time to celebrate this nor Republic Day. When in school we knew the importance of this day but now lack of time creates problems.

Your favorite freedom fighter and why?

Rani Laxmibai, She is a woman with lot of courage and audacity to fight for the truth and our country.

One of your favorite patriotic song?

'Bharat humko jaan se pyaara hai, sabse nyaara gulistan humara hai..'
