This time BollyCurry got a chance to know more about the talk of the town- Imran’s hairstyle by none other than his personal hairstylist Ayesha DeVitre from Nalini's Salon in Bandra. Ayesha “Imran Khan's look in Kidnap is highly stylized, a drastic change from what he sported in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. In his first film his character was a boy next door so I gave him something very casual ... Something that every youngster in college could connect with. However when Sanjay Gadhvi sat me down and explained Imran's character in Kidnap I knew I was going to have to give Imran a rather dramatic change to move away from his chocolate boy image. I did a little research only to find out that the mohawk is well-known for its use in in Trojan armor, symbolizing power and the heart of a warrior so we decided to buzz Imran's sides really short, leaving the rest of the hair slightly longer to create what we call a faux hawk which is a modernized version of a mohawk. This gave Imran a stronger meaner look, keeping with his character "Kabir".
