Imlie actress Vijaylaxmi Singh on her journey from being a banker to making her mark as an actor

A woman is capable of doing several things, despite of the fact that she also faces several curveballs that life throws at her but she takes everything on her stride and still emerges stronger than ever before. Actress Vijaylaxmi Singh who is currently seen as Radha in 'Imlie' is a prime example of a strong-headed woman who can achieve anything she sets her mind to. The actress who was formerly a banker transitioned into the field of acting post-partum,s shares her inspirational journey from being a banker to being a successful actress.

The Imlie actor asserts, "I had never thought I'd be an actor. I have worked in the corporate sector in the early years of my career, I have worked at banks, and also as a soft skill trainer. However, I had taken a postpartum break and joined the theatre. I would do theatre for a few hours, five days in a week. I have always loved acting but I had never thought I will do it for the camera. But when I was doing theatre, I got a few advertisements and then there was no looking back. I kept on getting work, I was working and learning and I'm still learning and I shall learn forever!".

Quite interestingly, initially, Vijaylaxmi never thought she’d be getting into the acting profession, despite her love for the craft. But we’re glad that she soon realized her place, and since then has continued to inspire us with her phenomenal acting skills.

The actress, who has been a part of some great and prolific shows in the past like Breathe Into the Shadows, Delhi Crime, Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, Rasbhari and is currently seen as Radha in 'Imlie'.
