"I'm happy and proud to be associated with this NGO" - Sreejita Dey

Sreejita De who plays Mukta in Uttaran recently replaced Meethi (Tina Dutta0 at the last moment for an NGO event. Sreejta talks to Tellybuzz about the same.

Tina Dutta more famously known as Meethi in Colors show Uttaran opted out at the last moment from an NGO event where she was supposed to perform. It was then left to Sreejita De aka Mukta to fill in her shoes.

As per our source, "Tina asked for a big amount to perform along with flight tickets to Goa. The NGO could not fulfill her demand and thus she backed out of the event."

We tried calling up Tina but all our efforts were in vain.

Sreejita who too claimed ignorance about Tina opting out of the event sounded very excited about her performance and said, "I'm performing for three groups Vatsalya, Teach India and Police who have come together to help under-privileged kids to learn in school. I'm happy and proud to be associated with these charitable groups."

Sreejita is unaware about why Tina Dutta is not performing at the event and says that she has not yet spoken to her, "I got a call in the morning about this show and they asked me whether you want to perform. I immediately said yes to them. I don't know about Tina as till now I haven't spoken to her."

"May be Tina must be ill or she wants to go out of town as she does every year during Christmas. Also these days we had been shooting differently so I couldn't meet her. Maybe later when we have time, I would definitely talk to her."

"For now I had been really busy with shooting for my daily soap and my dance rehearsals. I really feel honored to be a part of this event as it will help those children who are not able to study. What best I could have asked than this with as the year comes to an end," she concludes sharing her excitement for performing at such an honorable event.
