Tina visited her family in UK recently after three long years. India Forums got in touch with the actress and asked her about her thoughts on reuniting with her family. Read on the excerpts of interview below.
You’re able to be with your family after a long time. Tell us about it?
It's wonderful spending time with family. I feel so much at peace and there's no food like maa ke haath ka bana khana. My mum has been baking me a cake every other day! Maa ko hamesha bache patle hi lagte hai so she’s trying her level best to make me look in her words 'healthy'! I love talking to my dad about politics and getting his point of view on all the current affairs and I play silly games like uno with my brother. The unconditional love is just irreplaceable. It feels blissful and I wish they lived in Mumbai with me because I really do miss them a lot when I'm away.
How have you been spending your time there in UK?
Just spending most of my time at home and then visit my school friends on weekends. Its lovely to catch up with everyone.
Do u miss India?
I miss Nikhil a lot and of course work. But thanks to technology, we keep in touch and I'll be back in Mumbai next month so should be fine. Can't wait to get back to work as well.
Plans of returning to India and joining TV shows?
Yes, can't wait to get back next month and get back to work. I've been giving auditions from here. Can never stay completely away from work, because I just love it so much. Also giving auditions helps me hone my skills. So yes, all set to be back next month with my parents blessings and do some good work.
