I will tie Rakhi to Rajat and my sister Yaaneea : Shagun of ‘Ishq Par Zor Nahi’

As we gear up to celebrate the festival of Rakshabandhan, India Forums got in touch with actress Shagun Sharma of Ishq Par Zor Nahi fame to know about her thoughts on the festival and more. ‘Ishq Par Zo Nahi’ recently went off-air. The show was loved by the viewers. Apart from Ishqi-Ahaan’s crackling chemistry, what made the show quite popular was the sibling bond between Kartik, Sonu and Ahaan played by actors Rajat Verma, Shagun Sharma and Param Singh.

We asked Shagun about her offscreen bonds with Rajat and Param, Shagun quipped, “Well, we shared a similar kind of bond. It was great to be around Param and Rajat. In more than one way, we were all quite similar which made us connect really well with each other. I had their backs whenever I had any sorts of confusions or needed their help. It wasn’t a thing to build a bond with them as it was easy and we clicked instantly. We’re fun people. Rajat has a lot of knowledge about cinema and I got to learn a lot from him. Param is like a method actor, so I often took his suggestions on important scenes. Our bond is going strong and a big yay for that”.

She added, “I am great friends with Param. With Rajat, my onscreen and offscreen bond is quite similar. In real life also, I consider him my brother. In fact, I’ll be tying Rakhi to him this year”.

Sharing her thoughts on the festival, Shagun said, “I believe, this festival shouldn’t be confided to only between brothers and sisters. One can tie a Rakhi to anyone who’s protective. I tie Rakhi to my sister Yaaneea. She is my only family here in Mumbai and hence the festival is more special for us. She is very protective and possessive about me. We fight a lot, more than normal siblings do but we also make up and it’s great to have her around”.
