I was surprised to learn about Randeep Rai’s cameo in ‘Meet’: Ashi Singh

Ashi Singh and Randeep Rai fans can’t keep calm as the duo is set to re-unite in Zee TV show ‘Meet’ as Randeep is roped in to play a cameo character in thw show while Ashi plays the titular role. Ashi and Randeep rose to fame with Sony TV show ‘Yeh Unn Dino Ki Baat Hai’ wherein they played the characters of madly in love couple Sameer and Naina. Their Jodi became an instant hit and the people fondly call them #Samaina (culmination of Sameer and Naina).

Post the show, Randeep and Ashi went ahead to do different shows. And now, the duo will yet again reunite onscreen. India Forums got in touch with Ashi to know about her thoughts on Randeep playing a cameo in the show.

Ashi said, “Well, I was surprised when I learned the same. It’s great to have him as a part of ‘Meet’. We spoke when we met on the sets and it’s always great to reconnect with co-actors”.

We asked her about the kind of messages she has been receiving post the news of Randeep entering ‘Meet’ went viral. She said, “I am receiving a mixed response. A section of our fans are elated that we’re sharing the screen space again while others are upset that we won’t be seen playing the lead characters”.

Ashi further added, “According to me, #Samaina fans are the reason why this cameo is planned as our fans were quite eager on us being a part of the same show. The fans have been messaging the producers and I believe the producers are adhering to the demands of fans”.
