Dancer turned actor Punit J Pathak has won millions of hearts with his outstanding acting talent as well as dancing talent in ABCD and ABCD 2. Punit has never failed to impress the audience whenever he is on screen. He also won numerous accolades for his dancing skills in three back to back seasons of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa when he participated with Shibani Dandekar, Lauren Gottlieb and Mouni Roy.

And now the tables are turning as for the first time a contestant from the same stage is graduating to becoming a judge! Punit had once started his career on the DID stage as a contestant and now will be judging the upcoming season of the same show along with Gaiti Siddiqui and Mudassar Khan. Telly Buzz quizzes the choreographer cum actor on his feelings on his debut as a judge!

How are you feeling now that you are a judge of the same with which you had started your career as a contestant?

DID has given me name, fame and everything! I have learnt the 'D' of dance from this show. I had entered the show as a contestant in the second season and I became a choreographer in third and fourth season and now in fifth season I am judge. It's like a dream come true! I was speechless when I was offered to judge DID season 5. A person who is a dance lover and follows dancing shows religiously, for him to judge a dancing show is a huge deal.

You have stepped into the shoes of ace choreographers like Remo Dsouza, Terence Lewis and Geeta Kapur. So has the responsibility increased?

All three of them are my idols! They are genuinely masters and they have grown and gone on beyond that. Everyone has to grow and has to prove their potential. I am grateful to Zee TV and Dance India Dance because they think I am capable and I have the potential to be a master in this season. Is very difficult and challenging to step in the shoes of Remo sir Terence sir and Geeta ma'am. But its a challenge well accepted and I hope that I make them feel proud.

How was your acting experience?

It was fabulous! Honestly I am very camera shy! When I am with familiar people, I talk to them normally without bothering about the camera rolling. But if I am actually asked to stand and act, I fail to do it. Yet the entire experience for shooting for ABCD 1 and ABCD 2 right from the acting to the dancing, has been amazing. I have loved every bit of it. Hence, I would love to continuing acting in the future.

What are your future plans?

I would like to go with the flow, what every will come on my way, I will take it and will try to give my 100 percent.
