"I was pregnant with Jeh when we began talking about 'Jaane Jaan'" - Kareena Kapoor Khan

The trailer of Jaane Jaan is now out and right from the get-go, it looks like a delicious mystery thriller, which is what you expect from director, Sujoy Ghosh, who is known to make films like these.

But the biggest reason that the film has created waves ever since its announcement is the fact that none other than Kareena Kapoor Khan is debuting in the OTT space with the film that it set to release on Netflix.

At the trailer launch of the film, the actor herself made sure to share some insights on how the film happened, on working with Jaideep Ahlawat, Vijay Varma and Sujoy Ghosh.

Kapoor Khan said, ""I was more nervous this time around than I was around 23 years ago. But I have to say that with Jaane Jaan, I think we have made a great film, more so Sujoy Ghosh has made a fantastic film. Sujoy and I have been willing to work for over a decade and finally, about two years ago, during the shoot of Bhoot Police, we got to talking about it.

She added, "We had this book (The Devotion of Suspect X) and we were talking about how we can just make this and it just happened like that. In fact, I was pregnant with Jeh when we started discussing it. And then having seen so many fantastic stuff in Netflix, I have been dying to do great work and I told Sujoy that I really want to work with the finest actors."

She further added, "Next thing I know, he has Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma onboard for their respective roles and it couldn't have been any better. I was ecstatic where I got the chance to work with these fine actors and share an experience and learn for them. This debut is just the best I could have hoped for."

Jaane Jaan is set to release on Netflix on 23rd September 2023.
