I was beaming with pride; Sumbul Touqeer is an inspiration: Mayuri Deshmukh on Sumbul buying her own house

Sumbul Touqeer won millions of hearts with her stint in ‘Bigg Boss 16’. She was one of the most loved contestants and she had immense support from fans. Sumbul rose to fame with Star Plus show ‘Imlie’ wherein she was paired opposite Gashmeer Mahajani who played the character of Aditya Kumar Tripathi in the show. Later, with a sudden change in the story, Fahmaan Khan entered the show as Aryan and Sumbul and Fahmaan’s onscreen as well as off-screen cameradierie became an instant hit.

Before ‘Imlie’, Sumbul was a part of mythological shows and also featured in Dhvani Bhanushali’s popular music video ‘Vaaste’. The actress struggled a lot before tasting success and now Sumbul has bought her own house in Mumbai. Yesterday, the actress kept a small house warming party which was attended by her close friends including actresses Pranali Rathod, Ulka Gupta, Mayuri Deshmukh along with Bigg Boss 16 fame Shiv Thakare and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia.

Mayuri played an important part in ‘Imlie’ and is quite close to Sumbul. India Forums got in touch with her to know about her thoughts on Sumbul’s achievements, she said, “So, I’ve known Sumbul since two years now. I know about the hardships that she has faced and I know from where she has started and how much growth she has exponentially done in the last one year. I feel so proud for her. Though getting a house is a material thing but she has done all of it, all by herself. I feel so happy seeing her achieve these milestones. At this age, having a house of own is an incredible thing. When I was walking to her house yesterday and was walking through the lobby, when I entered the lift and when I entered her house; I was beaming with pride because for me it was so inspirational to see our little girl create magic in a span for mere one year."

She added, “I told her when I met her that all that she went through, all the struggle is worth it, because look at what you’ve achieved. I genuinely don’t have enough words to express how I feel about her achievements. I hope, wish and pray that she keeps growing like this and continues to be an inspiration. Lots and lots of love and luck to her.”
