"I was approached for Suryaputra Karn, but I rejected the offer."- Anuj Sachdeva

Last seen in Sony TV's Chhanchhan, the sexy and enticing Anuj Sachdeva hasn't been in the news off late. As the handsome man excitedly waits for is upcoming film, Love Shagun, we speak to him about his plans to make a comeback on television. 

Post Chhanchhan, I took a six month break to channelize my career. Ittisi Khushi was a show which I really looked forward to doing and I was sure it would click well with the audience. Being a show by Rajan Shahi, I expected the show to go on for atleast a year but with problems regarding TRP and the channel too facing turmoil where all their shows have not lasted for long, it was pulled off-air.

I was recently approached for Suryaputra Karn but I have built an image of a chocolate boy and I am comfortable doing family dramas and not mythological or historical shows.

Not really. My film has kept me busy and hence away from television. I am happy that these days actors focus on their performance and not the medium. Yes I could have managed a television show with my television shoot but I believing in giving my 100 percent to one thing I take up. 

I don't multi-task!

Since I play a middle class character, I had to shed a lot of weight for my film but now I am concentrating on gaining that back by doing yoga, gym and workout. I am also fond of travelling and discovering new places so I have been doing that. I am also auditioning for some projects.

I am extremely excited as I put in a lot of hard work for this film. I rejected many offers only for Love Shagun and I am hopeful that people will like the fresh look I sport in the film. The promotions of the film will start in the month of September end.

I do not mind being a part of television shows which have performance oriented roles to offer me. Apart from the romantic characters I have played on-screen, I would love to be a part of a series or for that matter even anchor a show.

(Laughs). Yes, you can call me choosy and that is not only limited to the small screen but also the commercials. I have always chosen to do unique commercials and have feature with Bollywood actors like Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone and recently Sunny Leone. 

Even when I am shortlisted I take my time and think if I can pull of a character with perfection and whether it will give me the kind of exposure I want or not.
