"I was apprehensive about my role in Chakravartin Ashok Samrat"- Rajesh Khera

Veteran actor, Rajesh Khera is termed to be one of the most prolific actors in television and film industry. His role as Maddy from 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin' is still remembered.

The actor will now be seen in the historical drama show, 'Chakravartin Ashok Samrat' as Devrath taking over the reigns from Manoj Joshi's character.

Elated about the role the actor tells us, "The character is a powerful one and is introduced to act as a mentor to Ashok, as Ashok needs to be guided. There is one dialogue which means, 'Stop thinking from your heart, think from your mind' which sums up the importance of Devrath to Ashok."

Being his first experience of playing a historical role, the actor tells us, "I was initially apprehensive about the role, as it requires one to speak the old Hindi which has Sanskrit scripts. Its the first time I am speaking it, surprisingly I was able to catch it and I am feeling good about it. Why would an actor miss such an opportunity!"

The actor also talks about his experience so far, "Its a great experience so far, the people working on it are so energetic and pumped to work, especially the actor playing Ashok (Siddharth Nigam), he is so lively to work with. Him and I get along really well."
