I want Madhuri Dixit to play me in a film: Gulabo Sapera

Renowned folk dancer Gulabo Sapera, who belongs to the Kalbaliya community where the girl child is looked down upon, says if ever a film is made on her life she would want Madhuri Dixit to play her.

"If they want a proper actress, then I would want Madhuriji (Dixit) to do it because she knows my kind of dance and she is a great dancer," Gulabo said on the sets of the film "Bhanwari Ka Jaal" in which she is doing an item number. She was also an inmate in the fifth season of reality show "Bigg Boss".

But given a chance, she would also like her daughters to play her younger self on the big screen.

"If a film is made on me, then I want my daughters to play me till I am shown a certain age in the movie. I have a 12-year-old, 16 and a 20-year-old daughter. Later, I would want me to portray myself," she said.
