I took workshops to get into the skin of a writer: Vidhi Pandya of ‘Mose Chhal Kiye Jaaye’

Sony Entertainment Television’s Mose Chhal Kiye Jaye is a story revolving around Armaan Oberoi (Vijayendra Kumeria) a successful TV producer and Soumya Verma (Vidhi Pandya) who is a struggling and ambitious writer. Soumya was on cloud 9 after she was hired as a writer in Oberoi Telefilms and very recently, viewers witnessed the Chhalave Ki Shaadi, post which Armaan’s manipulations have started taking a new turn. With the story progressing, Vidhi shares her experience playing Soumya and how she took writing workshops to get into the skin of the character. 

Vidhi Pandya says, “As an actor, I like to take up challenging and new roles that come my way. When the script of Mose Chhal Kiye Jaaye was narrated to me, I knew I had to take it up, Just like Soumya, I too am ambitious in nature and believe every woman has the right to fulfill her dreams and turn it into reality. Considering my character is a writer in the show, I took up many workshops to catch on to the flair of writing in order to get into the skin of the character. I practiced on getting the grammar, flow and story telling aspect of writing through my workshops and I must say, it has really helped me play my part well. I hope my fans and viewers are enjoying my portrayal as much as I enjoy bringing Soumya alive.”

Vidhi had earlier stated, “I share quite a few similarities with my character Soumya Verma. She looks after everyone and does not hesitate to go out of her way to help those who need it the most. That for me is a sign of selflessness. I relate to Soumya in many ways as I am also someone who is not bounded by any boundaries. Another major similarity that I share with my character is that we both are determined and vulnerable at the same time and always wish to see the good in every situation."
