I think Star Plus could have made a better call: Aakash Ahuja on Faltu being pulled down by the channel

Aakash Ahuja, who has been essaying the character of Ayaan in Star Plus' popular show 'Faltu' spoke about the channel's sudden decision to pull down the show instead of being in the top 5 and revealed how he received this news.

Star Plus deciding to pull down its popular show 'Faltu' came as a shocker to the show's cast and its ardent viewers. Despite being on the top of the TRP charts, the show will soon be pulled down and replaced by Rajan Shahi's upcoming show 'Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si', starring Mohit Malik and Sayali Salunkhe in the lead roles.

India Forums got in touch with Aakash Ahuja, who essays the titular character of Ayaan in the show. Talking to us, Aakash expressed his disappointment and said, ''I do not know the reason behind this. Everybody on the sets of our show has been equally startled. And if you ask me, I am not disappointed because I usually do not let these things get to me. Everything has to end with time, so it does not affect me much. However, we deserved a better ending. We have a unit of around 200 people working for us, so I feel bad for them. We will find our next projects as actors, but what about them? I think this decision was unfair, but we cannot decide. I am out of words. I do not know what the reason behind this decision was. Our numbers were good, and the audience feedback was good too.''

Further, the actor revealed how he reacted upon knowing that his show was going off air and said, ''I was obviously a little surprised. However, I did not react much because that is how I am in real life; this is my approach. But yes, it was a little disappointing to us. I think Star Plus could have made a better call.''

This is the only show on Star Plus which has a cute pairing. Actors who look as young as their characters supposed to be . Sad that it is ending like this.

I don't watch this show but used to watch Anupama and currently still watching YRKHH.Star plus have really bad shows content wise compared to other channels. And many shows are from Rajan Shahi production house, so they look and feel similar too. Now another RS show replacing this one. It's ridiculous. They should rename their channel from Star plus to Shahi plus.

What else one can accept from star plus. They themselves do not want good content. New show could be another Anupama.

Yes I will terribly miss this show. It was one show that did not show bigamy, EMA and highlighted some cricket too.

Of course SP wouldn’t have liked a show not serving it’s typical, run of the mill stories. I would rather have the makers and cast bow out gracefully rather than buckling down to SP’s pressure .

Aakash is such a fantastic and graceful/ great actor. So is Niharika. Hope both find good projects with a PH and a channel that support their talents . All the best to both and the team of Faltu.
