Aditya Redij who is passionate about being fit and enjoys photography when on travel; shares his journey in the television industry with tellybuzz...

I think there isn't much similarity instead I think Aditya has put on the mask of Raghav. There are certain personality traits of Raghav like being down to earth, his self confidence that I can relate myself to.
Then how is Aditya Redij as a person?
(smiles) I think my close friends and co-stars would be in a better state to answer this one.
Talking about your show..Now that Sia has won the elections against your mother, so how would Raghav react to it?
Raghav's reaction since day one of the elections has been completely positive. In fact he has been the support system for Sia even at the time she lost hopes and wanted to back off. So I will always support her because finally truth has to win.
Also have you in real life been sandwiched in similar way between two women? If yes then how have you tackled the situation?
(laughs) I haven't been caught between in a similar situation but yes I used to always get sandwiched between my mother and my sister especially when it used to be about the choice of food to be cooked. And as both are very close to me escaping wasn't that easy so, I used to instead go with the flow and try satisfying both of them in the best way possible.
Now that your character in the serial has passed through so many different shades so had you foreseen such a growth?
Yes, when I was narrated the story and screenplay I had been given a rough idea that it would start with a chocolate boy role that involves a love story, then it would turn negative and then it would slowly move towards a healthy marital relationship. So, only after looking at the growth and potential with me I decided to take up the role.
So, this being your first project, how confident were you about the role?
I was and am very confident about myself that I can do complete justice to any character even more challenging than that of Raghav in near future too.
How did this role just happen to you and what according to you is the strength of Raghav's role?
See..Basically I had a call from three production houses at the same time and the ball was in my court as I had to decide about which one I want to work on. So after reading the script and giving several screen tests I got shortlisted for this role. So it was like the general way like every other actor but it wasn't that easy too.
And Strengths in Raghav's character would be that he is very confident about himself and his wife. Also the natural way of portraying the character is something that connects to the audience well.

I do prefer working out scripts on my own. Basically before giving the shot I sit alone and read the script and screenplay well and try understanding the emotions and the pitch in it. Then if required I try adding an extra word or emotion here and there but after talking up with the Director.
So it's like we have a healthy argument on creative level but all towards the betterment of the show.
Do you think your physical personality has worked out as a plus point for you in the industry?
As far as Raghav's character is concerned yes the physical capabilities do work out well. Apart from that I feel muscles and body has nothing to do with the character.
Apart from that I prefer being fit so that I can survive the 14-15 hours of long shoot otherwise I prefer being the character then just an actor.
Tell us something about your social work occurrence prior to acting?
Yes I have also read in many media portals saying that Along with being an actor Aditya is also a great social worker. But it's nothing like that I feel and small bit done even for the betterment of mankind is a social work in itself.
I was just lucky enough to get an opportunity to work in a small village of Haryana under the student exchange program where we learned about their values, customs traditions and I even taught, Basic English to children of 7-8 years of age.
So did that social project be of any help during your show also?
Yes definitely as this show is also based in Punjab when I was first narrated the script I could actually picture the entire Haryana village I had been in so it was of great help.
Aditya if not an actor what would you be?
I always had a dream to be a farmer, to own a small tea plantation in Assam. (smiles) I know it's a weird thought.
