I have faced racism in the world all over: Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor opens up about facing racism...

Sonam Kapoor poses with her Award at NDTV L'oreal Paris 'Women of Worth Awards'

Sonam Kapoor may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but when this 30-year-old firecracker starts talking her mind, she can give the feistiest sharpshooters a run for their money. Case in point the time she made us proud when she admitted that she is a 'complete feminist'. And also recently, when she spoke about how she is no alien to racism at the L'oreal Paris and NDTV's initiative Women of Worth' event!

Sonam Kapoor, when asked to comment on whether the recent attack on the Tanzanian woman could be termed racism, Sonam said, “Racism exists all over the world, it is not specific to India. It was a very badly done thing (Tanzanian woman incident). I do not think racism and intolerance is specific to India. It’s something that is spread across the globe. I don’t believe when people say only Indians are like that. I have faced racism in the world all over.” [sic]

Elaborating on how such incidents could be prevented, Sonam Kapoor said, “The reason education has always been my favourite category is because it is something which makes people aware and less ignorant. It makes people take and make decisions which are a little more thoughtful as opposed to behaving like hooligans and ‘junglee’. [sic]
