"I have been fortunate to display extremely different characters on screen" - Meenal Kapoor

Actor Meenal Kapoor needs no introduction. She's been a part of the entertainment industry for long and has portrayed innumerous characters displaying her versatility on every platform or mediums be it movies, television or OTT shows. The actor says she has been blessed to showcase her talent on a global scale.

"I would say perseverance, consistency and deliberate practice has been my key to success. Over a period of 17 years in Mumbai, the kind of projects I have been associated with has expanded my horizon as an actor and performer. I am at a stage of my life where I crave to showcase more & more different emotions through my characters and explore a variety of their shades through my craft.", says Meenal.

In the TV show 'Vanshaj' on Sony Sab, Meenal plays a matriarch's character, Gulrez Aapa, an influential inmate in jail, an unshakeable hardcore believer in truth, a woman who doesn't bow to anyone and has only one intention - to bring about justice by hook or by crook.

In 'Sisterhood', a TVF show, on Amazon Mini, her role is of the main teacher, Sister Diane - a strict & stern disciplinarian, one of the pillars of SISTERS who sees that all rules are followed & the rule breakers should be punished who are misfits for such a prestigious institution.

Her to be released movie, 'Kill', a Dharma & Sikhya production will see her playing mother to daughters who are caught in a whirlwind of goons aboard a running train.

"It's a mixed feeling to be able to play these myriad characters, catch their required svar & level in performance. A challenge as well to get into a character and come out of it to play another one stark opposite, while portraying each with such characterisation to appear different every time. I feel as an actor, it's important to push yourself beyond your vision and boundaries, and only then one gets to know their potential. I wish to continue with the same enthusiasm and energy for my upcoming future projects as well", she signs off.
