I had no qualms with the pregnancy track; I feel, I can pull off any role: Simran Budharup of ‘Pandya Store’

The current track of ‘Pandya Store’ has kept the fans glued to the show. The track revolves around a pregnant Rishita believing that she isn’t save at the the Pandya house and has decided to stay with her maternal family. Rishita’s father Janardhan has gifted her a modern style general store which has created a rift between the family as the sales of the old store has gone for a toss.

In a candid chat with India Forums, Simran opened up on her reaction on the pregnancy track and if she was skeptical about the same. She said, “Well, when the creatives where planning for the track, they asked me if I’m OK with it and I said a ‘yes’ to it in a blink of an eye because I feel as an actor, I should take up challenges and not confine my myself with a particular set of roles that I want to portray. I feel, in any role, I will end up looking young (laughs)”.

Talking about the abortion track and her performance in the same, Simran said, “You know, at times, when you read the screenplay, there are scenes that you have faith in that you can pull it off. And we at ‘Pandya Store’ has a bunch of very talented team. Our directors know what they want and they make sure to take that out from the actors. So, yes, it just happened smoothly. I didn’t really have to think of taking inspirations or do my homework for that particular track”.
