"I had a couple of offers but I chose Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji," says Ankit Bathla

After Thapki, Ankit Bathla is all set to show his chemistry with Rhea Sharma aka Kanak Rathi.

Ankit, who was last seen in Colors' fictional show Thapki...Pyaar Ki as Dhruv is finally back on the small screen, this time with Star Plus' much loved show, Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji starring Rhea Sharma and Avinesh Rekhi in lead roles.

Speaking on his character in the show, Ankit said, "Akshay, the character which I am playing is totally contrast to the character of Dhruv I played in Thapki. Akshay is a modern-age guy who loves to live life and make people smile with his cute jokes and charm. He is full of energy and develops a bond of love with everyone he meets. Bhabho has chosen him for Kanak and now they are taking their relationship forward." 

He further added, "I had a couple of offers but I chose TSMSP over them as this character seemed right to me and moreover, this show is my mom's favourite too, so I couldn't let the opportunity pass."

Well, we are sure that the viewers are looking forward to his chemistry with Rhea.
