I got really scared when I saw those red eyes: Neha Sargam

TellyBuzz brings to you the 'Spooky and Uncanny' column with your favourite telly stars and tries to find out their beliefs in supernatural and their brush with the uncanny! This week we have Neha Sargam with us, last seen in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Ek Baar Phir on Star Plus.

Do you believe in supernatural?

Yes I do believe in supernatural power. There are many people who do acquire certain powers after rigorous meditation or yoga. 

Craziest horror story ever heard as a kid?

More than crazy I guess it was really funny when I think about it now. Not one but I have many to share, lots of them were very cliché kind of stories. One I recall is that one of the uncle was driving back home by car, he saw one lady in white saree and she was crying a lot, so he offered her help, but when he went closer there was just her body without face. As a child I used to get Goosebumps all over my body. Later I realized that this was one of the common stories which everyone has heard as a child. 

Have you ever had a brush with uncanny?

Yes I did recently. Just few days back I was sleeping and suddenly at night I felt my bed and fan was shaking, I thought it was an Earthquake as I haven’t experienced it before by god grace. And suddenly early in the morning I woke-up and saw Earthquake news flashing all over the social media. Immediately I called my mom and told her about my dream, it was kind of weird. As my hometown is Patna, Earthquake was felt there as well. I don’t know whether it was my sixth sense or what but it was really strange. 

When you have been the most scared?

One day I was coming back late night around 3:00 am with my mom from shoot which was in Mud Island. Everyone who stays in Mumbai knows how spooky that place is. So, I saw one man coming with a packet in his hand which looked like some chopped mutton pieces or something, as I was not able to find my way, I rolled down my car window to ask him the direction and suddenly my mom and I saw flashy red eyes; I got so scared I just rushed from there. That day I had sleepless night.

Favorite horror movie?

I just hate watching horror movies especially alone as I get really scared. But there are two movies which I thoroughly enjoyed, Exorcism of Emily Rose and Insidious. 

Horror Dare?

I was given one horror dare as a kid for which my cousins tease me till date because I couldn't do it. They asked me to go and get something from the terrace in the middle of the night and I couldn't complete that dare. If you ask me now neither I will ever take horror dare nor will I put anyone in danger by giving them such dares.
