'I fulfilled Saran's dream by taking her to Taj Mahal'-Rizwan Sikander

Rizwan Sikander, one of the popular contestants of Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj is eyeing a dream wedding in Star Plus’ Aajaa Mahi Vay along with his girl friend from London, Saran Leila.

Rizwan and Saran share a very cute love story which began when Rizwan saw her picture in Facebook and dropped her a scrap. “I scrapped her on Facebook, and this is where our love story began. Slowly, we exchanged our MSN ids and started to chat, then moved to Skype. I bought a Webcam only for her and this is when we introduced our families to each other”, quips a delighted Rizwan.

Continuing on his story, he adds, “One day, I got a call from Saran and she took me by surprise when she said, ‘I am at Mumbai airport, can you pick me up??’ She was in Mumbai for a week and I showed her my city and many other places. She had a dream of seeing Taj Mahal and I fulfilled it. After a week, when she was to leave, we had moist eyes and it was at this moment that we realized we were in love”.

Ask him whether they have got their parents’ approval, “My mama is a bit confused whether Saran will be able to accept our culture and move on. Her mother at the same time is now wild as she is in India, in an unknown place all alone. But I guess, with time, things will surely settle down”, feels he.

The very first performance that Rizwan-Saran gave in Aajaa Mahi Vay was actually a real-life experience for the couple. “My birthday was on May 5th, and I had invited Saran to be with me. But even after repeated calls and messages, she did not acknowledge my invite which hurt me a lot. On the D-day, my family and friends had organized a birthday party and to my surprise, Saran flew all the way to wish me and gifted me with lots of stuff which made me happy”, expresses Rizwan.

This is when Rizwan asked Saran about the contest Aajaa Mahi Vay and she readily agreed to be part of it. “We would love to be the winners here, but we have not thought about marriage yet. We still need to settle in life and work on our careers. Let’s see how the contest goes”, concludes Rizwan.
