I felt a sense of accomplishment when Fahmaan Khan finally cried on last day of ‘Imlie’: Sumbul Touqeer

Sumbul Touqeer and Fahmaan Khan are known names from the industry. The duo rose to fame with their stint in Star Plus show ‘Imlie’ where they played the characters of Aryan and Imlie. Their onscreen pairing enjoy a massive fan- following and even offscreen they’re loved dearly by their fans. Fans fondly call them #SuMaan and #AryLie. However, they’ve now exited the show paving way for new actors and are missed a lot by the fans.

In a recent chat with the duo, they revealed what happened on the last day shoot of ‘Imlie’. Sumbul said, “I would like to reveal everything about that day and I’m quite pumped up to share it with the viewers. So, on the last day, Fahmaan wasn’t feeling well and a lot of attention went to looking after him. We had a ritual of sitting together in Fahmaan’s room before shoot and in the morning, on that day, we sat together and discussed how we bagged the show. Everyone shared their stories, from Gaurav Bhaiya, Rajshri Didi to Neetu jee. And then we spoke about the last day shoot and my eyes welled up thinking about the same. But Fahmaan didn’t cry”.

She added, “Later, when I read the script and screenplay of that last intense scene, tears started rolling down my cheeks. But, Fahmaan didn’t cry”.

I was so pissed and I wanted him to cry and that’s when I went ahead and gave him a tight hug.

“Then, we ended up on the floor for the last scene and I saw the set up of pillars fallen and something just hit me hard and I started crying, infact, I started howling. But, Fahmaan didn’t cry”, she said.

Sumbul further added, “Post that, we shot our last scene and after the ‘cut’, I could see everyone crying. From light men to spot dada and even our directors’ team, everyone had tears in their eyes and I turned around to see Fahmaan, but he didn’t cry. I was so pissed and I wanted him to cry and that’s when I went ahead and gave him a tight hug. And guess what, he finally cried. His eyes turned red and he shed a tear. I felt like a sense of accomplishment post that”.
