I feel that we have a very good and energetic team- Ananya Khare

One of television's most popular vamps, Ananya Khare is all set to make a come back with Star Plus' new show, Mere Angne Main. She has won many hearts with her vicious roles on many popular shows and now she is all set to woo the audience once again.

The actress is on the hot seat with us and opens up exclusively on Telly Buzz regarding her character and journey.  

Tell us about your character in Mere Angne Main.....

I am essaying that character of Sarla Shukla who is the daughter of Shanti devi (Krutika Desai).  She is married and has two children. Sarla is very ambitious and wants everything in life and to fulfill her wish she plays smart games. She is one of those kind of a women who is smarter than the educated women around her because she has seen the practicalities of life. She is a positive as well as a negative person because she is positive towards her family as she loves them but she is selfish and manipulative when it comes to her wants. In short she is a shrewd and cunning person.

After the film Devdas, you were seen playing only negative characters, so would you like to play positive again?

I feel that negative characters somehow have more potential and generally positive characters are one dimensional. So from an actors point of view, playing a negative character is more fun. If I am offered a positive role which is strong and is multi dimensional, than I would definitely go for it because actors are always keen to play roles which have the potential to grab the eyeballs  - be it positive or negative.

Since you are from a theater background, how different is it shooting for television from doing live plays?

It's difficult from the technical part because you need to know the scene entirely. Its not just your lines or one small part, the whole scene is done at one go. So it's like a stage where everyone has to know each others lines and everyone has to understand that if a person misses his line then the other should say his lines to cover it up, because we can't go to the beginning and do everything again. Before the show goes on air, we shoot be taking cuts in between the scenes, but once the show starts, then it will become very difficult to shoot with one or two camera setup. So that way its challenging but because I have done theater, I am finding it enjoyable.

What do you have to say about your co actors as most of them are quite experienced?

I feel that we have a very good and energetic team. Experienced people are outstanding with their work and new people are really sincere. So the sincerity makes up for the experience.
