I don’t like to halt the shooting: Diljot Chhabra of Ziddi Dil Maane Naa on continuing to shoot post an injury

Sony SAB show ‘Ziddi Dil Maane Na’ has been getting the love and adulation of the fans. The show is slowly and steadily being accepted by the viewers. The show recently had a massive action sequence wherein actors Shaleen Malhotra and Diljot Chhabra received accolades for their performances.

India Forums got in touch with Diljot and asked the actress about her initial thoughts on the action sequence. Diljot quipped, “Well, I am really fond of adventures and was quite kicked when I heard about this elaborated action sequence in the show. One of the main ideas behind the sequence was to portray that a woman can also fight and bear the pain equally as a male army officer can. I’m all for the thought and was game for the sequence”.

She added, “The sequence was properly set-up by professionals. They used real tube lights for a shot. But unfortunately, because of some positioning issues, the tube light hit my left arm and blood started to flow. I was too much into the mood and zone to realize the same. Shaleen and others pointed and that’s when I realized that I’ve injured myself. I took temporary medical aid and started the shoot within five minutes. I don’t like to halt shooting because of myself and thus restarted shooting as soon as possible. I told everyone that I would manage the injury after the shot”.

Speaking about the outcome of the scene, Diljot said, “I believe that the blood and sweat that we’ve put in have been paid off. I really loved the end product. It wouldn’t have been possible without my co-actor Shaleen’s support. Also, the credit goes to the entire team for pulling off such a massive action sequence with so much perfection”.
