Sony Entertainment Television presents Kaamnaa – Hoga Khwaahishon Aur Usoolon Ka Aamna Saamna. Starring Chandni Sharma (Akanksha) and Abhishek Rawat (Manav), the slice of life drama takes the viewers on a journey of a middle-class couple – Manav and Akanksha with different ideologies. Produced by Cockcrow and Shaika Entertainment, the show premieres on 15th November and will air every Mon-Fri at 8:30 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of the City of Lakes - Bhopal, Bajpai family is like every other Indian middle-class family. Manav, a sincere government official and a loving family man who believes in living an honest life based on his principles. On the other hand, Akanksha is a devoted housewife and caring mother. But just like her name, she has big dreams and desires to move and break away from the stereotypical middle-class environment and live a luxurious lifestyle.

This will be the first time that Chandni will play a lead role in a show. India Forums got in touch with the actress and asked her about her thoughts on bagging the show as a lead. She said, “I got emotional. When the production team put forth the contract of the show in front of me, I was literally in tears. I cried while I signed the dotted lines. However, It had happened with me earlier that even after signing the papers, the project didn’t materialize and hence there was a little fear in my heart. My family was also not showing their full excitement when they came to know that I’ve signed the show as they didn’t want to take any chances”.

She added, “After the promo hit the screens, I was excited and so is my family. We’re ecstatic and waiting for the show to hit the TV screens. When the promo hit the channel, I was with my friend but I made sure to watch the same alone in a room. When I watched it, I cried again; tears started to roll down my cheeks. I’m sometimes very harsh on myself as far as being critical is concerned, I always believe that I could’ve done a better job when I see my work on screen. But ‘Kaamnaa’ promo was bang on. Everything seemed perfect”.
