What does fashion mean to you?
It means creating a style statement for oneself. Not blindly following any one and wearing clothes suiting the occasion as well as the place.

Your favorite designer
In Indian clothes I like Neeta Lulla and for western I prefer Rocky S.

Large frame glares are in fashion, how much do you like it?
I just love it! I have recently bought some of them. And personally I prefer the square shaped ones.

Designer label or Platform ka maal
It depends. I mean being an actor I need to have designer clothes in my wardrobe. But then if I like something on the run, I pick it up. In designer too, I buy stuff that's worth the price.

You go shopping when there is a need or when there is a new arrival.
I think it just happens. When I go out to some malls, and I like something I buy it and any ways shopping works as a great stress buster for women.

Do you feel the electronic gadgets we carry reflect our style statement?
No, I don't feel so. I feel basically one should know the use of the gadget one carries and should carry it if there is really a need for it.

Do you take fashion advice from others or you follow your own instincts?
I follow my own instincts.

What is smart dressing for you?
I feel it is the Smart denim with white or black shirt. It's simple yet smart.

You believe in looking attractive with make up or otherwise.
I feel otherwise. I just prefer putting a kajal on a normal day.

One thing without which, you feel your dressing is incomplete?
Watch, that goes with my personality. I have a huge collection of watches.

One beauty product you are very fascinated about.
Perfumes, I have plenty of them. Whenever I go out shopping and come across a unique fragrance I just pick it up without a second thought.

What do you pick to wear if you have to attend a short notice party?
A Black Salwar-Kameez with black stilettos.

Old fashion clothes are making a comeback with re-designed style. What's your take on it?
I feel it's fantastic. I am from a Bengali background and love arty stuff. How much can a person invent new things? After a period of time things have to be re-designed. So it's great.

Who do you feel is the most influential trendsetter at present?
Vidya Balan, Rekha  and Shilpa Shetty.

What's your comfort mantra this summer? 
Short pants in light colors and t-shirt or a cotton kurta.
