'I believe in showing the audience the real me' - Karan Singh Grover

The chocolate boy of television, Karan Singh Grover has been appreciated by one and all for his role of Dr. Armaan of Dill Mill Gayye. Karan will now be seen in a new avatar as he steps up on the stage to host STAR One’s upcoming reality show, Zara Nachke Dikha.

Telly Buzz caught up with the actor to know more about his anchoring stint. Ask him why he chose anchoring over participating in the show, Karan laughs and says, “Well, I was approached to host the show and not participate in it. Secondly, I wanted to try something different. I know participating was a better option but I chose to host as I wanted to do something where I could be myself and not bound by the script.”

So how does it feel to step into an anchor’s shoes? Karan says, “Well, I am all excited to host the show. In fact, I am eagerly awaiting for the start of the shoot. It’s going to be a lot of fun and my audience will also get to see me in a different persona, sans the doctor’s coat.”

This is Karan’s debut as an anchor, so whom is he taking guidance from, or will we see Karan imitating a famous Bollywood personality turned anchor? Karan replies, “I have always believed in showing the audience the real me. I don’t believe in copying or imitating someone else’s style. I will definitely take guidance from my friends. In fact, some of my friends from the industry like Sanjit Bedi and Jennifer Winget have always helped me in the past and I know I can turn to them if I need any advice.”
