I am an actor who likes to perform in the way I want to, and not as others ask me to - Ginny Virdi
In conversation with Ginny Virdi aka Ranjana from Colors' Udann

The very talented Ginny Virdi who is currently seen on Colors' Udann as Ranjana is an absolute delight to watch on-screen.
But how has the lady groomed and evolved her self to be so talented?
Every actor goes through a struggle period and Ginny exclusively speaks to Tellybuzz on the instabilities she faced in her life and her future aspirations.
Ginny shared, "I never wanted to become an actor. Just for earning a quick buck, I shot for the show, 'Jeena Isika Naam Hai' in Delhi which used to telecast on DD. I earned Rs. 2500 per episode which was a lot of money back then. My director then encouraged me to try my luck into acting and that is how I came to Mumbai."
Ginny claimed that life in Mumbai hasn't been so easy. While she bagged her first show Koi Aane Ko Hai with much ease, financial instability took her down.
The lady shared, "I can call myself lucky to have got an opportunity to work with Ekta Kapoor and bag a show, but in those days, we were paid every 3 months of shooting the show. So for these 3 months, I ate a plain sandwich which cost me Rs. 12 and due to lack of fashion sense, I used to dress up poorly and wear loud make up, travel in trains, buses and used to be stared upon. It was embarrassing."
Speaking about her roles and her growth in this industry, Ginny quipped, "After all those struggles, I guess life has taught me how to overcome such hardships. I have done shows like Rab Se Sohna Isshq and Niyati where I have portrayed distinguished characters. Now in Udann too, I play a different shade and it has enhanced my visibility all the more. I love playing negative shades as I am an actor who would want to perform the way I want too. I need my space to understand through my imagination."
Hmm...
While Ginny had a lot to share with us, we were surprised when she mentioned that she is an absolute introvert by nature!
Elaborating on the thought she stated, "I do not talk to others and like my own space in life. I sing well and even sketch to rejuvenate myself. This is not my attitude, being an introvert is a part of my personality."
Well said Ginny!
