Hiten Tejwani to enter Balika Vadhu!

Balika Vadhu, the celebrated show has already become a household favorite as its story continues to unfold the lives of young Nimboli and Anandi (Toral Rasputra). From the growing rift between Urmi and Nimboli to the earnest efforts made by couple Mannu and Pooja to stay united, the show has consistently kept its storyline gripping.

The drama will soon be adding a new twist to its story-line with TV's much-loved actor Hiten Tejwani joining the cast. He will be essaying the character of Anant, a handsome and sombre natured man in his late forties who is regrettably in an ill-fated marriage. In the hopes to gain financial stability and faced with coercion from his wife, Anant changes his profession from medicine to business.

The character's personality will be akin to that of a hardworking, self-made man who always strives to cherish the positive aspects of his life and seeks to keep his family's happiness at utmost priority. His marriage to his wife inevitably reaches a crescendo of hatred thereby deciding to send their young daughter Nidhi to study at Shiv Niketan. Nidhi however faces health issues at which her teacher Anandi intervenes and meets her student's father, none other than Anant himself played by actor Hiten Tejwani.

Speaking on his role as the family oriented character of Anant, he is looking forward to explore a new avatar. He commented saying,"Balika Vadhu has become a household favourite and getting an opportunity to join the cast is wonderful. I will be playing a man who is a father of Anandi's favorite student but also a character who is striving to change his life for the better. My own family has been very ecstatic especially my wife and in-laws too who are avid followers of the show that I was going to be part of the show. I am very hopeful for the audience to see the role of Anant and hope they enjoy it as much as I do."
