Hiba has expressive eyes, that is what we were looking for: Fahmaan Khan on casting Hiba Nawab for Beirada

Fahman Khan has been receiving a lot of love for his recent song 'Beirada.' The actor got in an exclusive conversation with us on the same and spilled some insight about the shoot of his song, roping in Hiba Nawab and a lot more. 

Talking about the process behind 'Beirada,' the actor revealed how it all worked out and said, ''The process of Beirada started when Ramsha contacted Tabish. She discussed the song with him and he then said yes. Tabish had a few songs ready, Beirada was one of them. We wanted to do it for a long time and then Ramsha got us on board. She sent me a few clips about what the story of the song will look like. One thing I was sure about was, I wanted the song to have a story. Songs these days have everything but not a story. I wanted a definite story for Beirada. And this story, the final product came to me in 3 hours. One morning, before heading towards my shoot, I was sitting on my balcony at around 6 in the morning and it was in that span of 3 hours that I thought of this story.''

We asked Fahmaan what was it about Hiba that the actress was finalised for the song and he said, ''I wanted someone with expressive eyes and Hiba has very expressive eyes. We wanted a good actress. when we went through Hiba's profile, we immediately said yes. She was our first choice.''

Further, we asked Fahmaan about various names like Nimrit, Sumbul and Priyanka being considered for the song and he said, ''Like I told you, My most important prerequiste was expressive eyes and Hiba was the perfect choice. And if you ask about Nimrit, our story line was different when we considered her for the song. But when the story changed, we wanted a fresh pairing. We then did a look test to see how Hiba and I would look and we looked nice. We then knew, we have nothing to worry about.''

When asked about his experience of working with Hiba Nawab, the Dharampatni actor said, ''She is a wonderful and an easy going person. Hiba understand emotions really well. There are different types of directors, and I come under the type where I give subtexts to my actors so that they understand the story better. She understood it all very well. I did not have to take too many takes with her. She accepted everything very well. Because I was directing the song too, I had to be behind the camera to check the frames and immediately in front of the camera too, Hiba was very understanding about the entire process and was very supportive. I am very thankful to her.''
