Vikram Bhatt's Viu series Spotlight 2 is a story of a musician spiralling into a downfall, facing career setbacks and losing out on love. The dark story features Karan V Grover who is well known for Bahu Haamari Rajni_Kant and Aditi Arya who is a pageant title holder (Miss India World). We dug a little deeper on the series and here's what the actors had to say.

Speaking of the challenges, the actors spoke of the difficulties attached to creating on-screen chemistry with a new co-star. Turns out there was a scene where Aditi Arya had to slap Karan V Grover, "I got scolded for that scene simply because I was so hesitant doing it. I didn't want to hurt him but also, try not to spoil the shot," said the actress.

On censorship and showing a part of the music industry that isn't ideal, Karan spoke of the emphasis on his character's self-destructive drive and the freedom the web platform allows. The actor said, "It's not that we are showing smoking and drug abuse because we can or to appeal to a certain crowd who thinks it's cool, it is simply done to give a more revealing look into real characters. On TV, we have ideal characters but such black or white characters don't exist. We have shown flaws that contribute to the character's downfall."

The web series promises to give a new twist and put forward a more realistic take on the tale of talent wearing itself out due to fame.

I have seen Havells ad and they are wonderful, especially the ones on respect for women and nayi hawa chali. Looking forward to this one.
