Here’s what Ankit Gupta has to say on establishing chemistry at par with FateJo & Priyankit for ‘Junooniyatt’

Colors’ newly launched show ‘Junooniyatt’ is getting all the love. The first few episodes looked promising and audiences are eagerly waiting to see Jahaan, Elahi and Jordan start their new journey to win a musical competition. The trio has different motives to win the competition but one thing that remains constant is their ‘junoon’ for music.

India Forums was recently invited to Chandigarh on the sets of ‘Junooniyatt’ and we interacted briefly with Ankit Gupta who plays the character of Jahaan in the show. We asked him about his first take for the fictional show after doing a reality show (Bigg Boss 16) for months. He said, “Well, when we were about to go for the first take, I went up to my director and told him that it has been a while that I’ve acted and I don’t know yet if I remember the art (laughs). However, I got the first take right. So, yes, it was fun”.

On learning about his ‘Bigg Boss 16’ inmate Gautam Vig being roped in for the show, Ankit said, “When I met Gautam on the sets, we looked at each other and burst out in laughter. We just laughed and didn’t say a word.” On meeting Neha Rana for the first time, Ankit said, “Neha and I share a common friend- Param Singh (Ankit worked with Param in ‘Sadda Haq’ while Neha was a part of Param’s show ‘Ishq Par Zor Nahi’). He had called me and asked me to take care of her and that’s what I told her when we first met”.

We asked Ankit if he feels the pressure of establishing a chemistry with co-actor Neha Rana at par with the popularity of Fatejo (Fateh-Tejo from Udaariyaan) and PriyanKit. Ankit replied, “I believe it is going to be a little difficult but all we can do is give our hundred percent and hope for the best”.
