Has the SUCCESS of 'Shakti..' led to consciously bring another SOCIAL issue? - Rashmi Sharma answers

After all this while, Rashmi is back with another show that highlights a social issue in the form of upcoming show, Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop. The show will be portraying how a boy child leans to help and be like his mother and sisters instead of the quintessential 'man' which his father wants him to be.

In a vis-a-vis conversation with Rashmi herself, we asked her if the idea of highlighting another social issue is a conscious effort; to which she said, "Not at all. We are in the entertainment industry, where we see a barrage of shows coming in and going out every other day. So, as a creative person, I feel it is important to give something to the society through this medium. In all my shows, I have tried to portray women reaching a certain point, and the whole story surrounding the same. But, at the same time, it is a deliberate effort that we take up subjects that are only meaningful."

So do we see Roop being as successful as Shakti has been? We really hope so.
