It is rightly said that the more you praise and celebrate life, the more there is in life to celebrate. Working on these lines, BollyCurry is back to rejoice the birthday of the most recent addition to Bollywood, Karan Singh Grover.
Grover was born in a Punjabi Sikh
family on February 23, 1982, to Amrit Pal Singh and Deepa Singh. After pursuing modelling in the early days of his career, Grover moved on towards Tellywood through Balaji Telefilms' Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi. However, it was the character of the suave and dashing Dr. Armaan Mallik in Cinevistaas' popular show Dill Mill Gayye that catapulted Grover to instant stardom. He went on to
do a few more shows like Teri Meri Love
Stories, Dil Dosti Dance and Qubool
Hai in the fictional category, and Zara
Nachke Dikha, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Fear
Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi in the non-fictional genre.
Grover has minute Bollywood stints to
his credit like Bhram (2008) and I M 24 (2012), but he recently made his official silver screen debut
as the male lead Kabir, in Bhushan Patel's horror film Alone (2015), alongside the sultry Bengali beauty Bipasha Basu. The movie did not garner
much success at the box office, but Grover's performance was well appreciated by his fans.
Here is a short quiz based on Grover's
life, which ought to be a piece of cake for the star's fans.
- What was the name of Grover's character in his maiden project?
- Who was the leading lady opposite Grover in his show that fell under the fantasy, action, and adventure genre?
- Grover has turned anchor for 3 non-fictional shows. Name them.
- Grover was the winner of a modelling contest. What was the name of the contest?
- What was Grover's earlier Bollywood project which was shelved and never went to the floor?
A small playlist of Grover's songs to
get your feet tapping to his birthday celebrations:
- "Katra Katra" - Alone
- "Chand Aasmano Se" - Alone
- "Awaara" - Alone
- "Touch My Body" - Alone
- "Asmaani Rang Ho" - Dill Mill Gayye
BollyCurry
wishes the actor great success for all his upcoming projects and we hope that
he keeps the smiles of his fans intact by entertaining them throughout.
