Had lost hopes on it until recently I got the call: Vihan Verma on entering 'Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin'

Star Plus show ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ is getting quite interesting with each passing episode. The current track of the show revolves around Sai being successful in sneaking out of the Chavan house. Sai will soon meet with a major accident which will lead to her being critical. She face a major injury on her head. The family will blame Virat for the same.

Well, India Forums was the first one to report about actor Vihan Verma being roped in to play the character of Mohit Chavan in the show post Adish opted out of the same. While yesterday we couldn’t connect with Vihan, we happened to chat with him today on entering one of the most popular shows on Indian Television.

When asked about bagging the show, Vihan said, “Well, I had auditioned for it a month ago and didn’t hear from the makers and gave up on the thought of bagging the show. However, to my surprise, I received that call from the production house a couple of days back stating that I’m finalized for the character. It’s great to bag such a popular show. I’m sure it’s going to be an exciting journey”.

While Vihan is a Mumbai based Punjabi, we asked him if he is prepared to ace the Maharashtrian character, Vihan quipped, “Being in Mumbai for several years, it’s very easy to adapt with the basic Marathi lingo. I think I’m good at catching the accent. I’m confident in that space”.

When asked if he is up for criticism or comparisons as he’ll be playing a character that has already been established well by another actor, he said, “Well, I’m all for constructive criticism. I am open to feedback from fans even when they don’t like my work. But when things go overboard and unnecessary abuses or hatred is sent across on social media, that’s when things become ugly. While I understand that every actor faces this issue, I’m sure it’s tough to sail through that phase”.

Ever since the news of Vihan entering the show became viral, the fans have been showering love on him. He said, “It’s so good to see such a warm welcome from the fans. I’m hoping to do justice and live up to their expectations”.

Vihan will soon start the shoot of the show.
