Diwali is the most celebrated and largest gift giving festival in . The tradition of exchanging gifts and shopping enormously is quite prominent as Diwali is associated with prosperity. Earlier people used to exchange homemade sweets, farm produce or decorative prepared at home. This tradition of shopping and exchanging gifts has been harnessed by marketers in recent times. You will get to see various marketing strategies at its best around Diwali with free gifts, to slashing of prices for every other commodity. Manufacturers launch their products or announce attractive schemes to lure the people during Diwali. The most popular gift items of recent times are electronic gadgets, artifacts, jewellery, wrist watches, chocolates etc.

Advice you would like to give on this Diwali on selecting gifts : Well, that depends on the individual's personal taste. But I would say, go by your budget and have a safe Diwali.

Any Memorable Gift you have got on Diwali: The gift that I receive every year from my parents is very memorable to me. They know I love to buy clothes and every year they gift me with some beautiful designs.
Advice you would like to give on this Diwali on selecting gifts : Try something new and experiment wisely with various stuffs, like I'm planning to do, gifting wine and chocolates.

Any Memorable Gift you have got on Diwali: Last Diwali my hubby gifted me a platinum solitaire diamond ring which is the most memorable gift for me.
