Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein: Bengali actor Abhishek Singh joins the show

Well-known Bengali film actor Abhishek Singh is now making his mark on Hindi television. After impressing audiences with his portrayal of the negative lead in Rishton Ka Manjha back in 2022, Abhishek has now been roped in for a key role in the popular and much-loved show Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein (GHKKPM). Once again, he takes on a negative parallel lead, promising to bring drama and intrigue to the storyline.

In the show, Abhishek plays a confident, charming, and articulate officer who, despite his polished appearance, creates complex and challenging situations for the female lead, played by Bhavika Sharma. Reportedly, his character will be her senior, adding an interesting layer of tension to the dynamic. Given the strong fan following of Bhavika’s character Savi, Abhishek anticipates his character may attract some hate from the audience—but he sees that as part of the craft. “As an actor, versatility is essential,” he says.

Abhishek is no stranger to powerful roles. He has headlined several Bengali films and continues to be active in the industry. His next Bengali release, Jaisalmer Jomjomat, is slated to stream soon on an OTT platform via Sony LIV.

Speaking about his entry into GHKKPM, Abhishek shared, “This character has the kind of shades I’ve always wanted to explore. The show has a massive following, and Hindi TV and OTT have always been on my radar. During a recent visit to Mumbai for a shoot, I met the makers of GHKKPM, and things just clicked. I’ve already begun shooting and am really enjoying the fresh energy this experience brings. After Rishton Ka Manjha, this feels like a great next step. I just hope the audience connects with my performance and appreciates the effort I bring to the table.”
