GHKKPM's Vaibhavi Hankare on doing BETTER than Bhavika Sharma & Ayesha Singh: 'I see it as a motivation'

Vaibhavi Hankare, who is all set to lead the new season of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, recently got in an exclusive chat with India Forums and spoke about her forthcoming stint on the show. The actress opens up on bagging the show and reveals how things aligned for her. She also speaks about working with Param Singh and Sanam Johar on the show.

GHKKPM( Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin) is your big break in Hindi televsion, firstly congratulations for that. Tell us how did things align and how did you come onboard?

Well, initially, I was called for the role, but I was in Delhi and couldn’t audition for it. Later, when they kept asking for the audition, I decided to give it a try. I went through several auditions, multiple mock shoots, and look tests. It took us a month to complete the whole process. After that, once the process was complete, everything was finalized.

Did you happen to watch any previous season of the show?

No, I did not watch any episodes of previous seasons of the show, to be honest. But I knew of the show as it is quite popular.

The show is a legacy in itself, do you feel any pressure or responsibility to do better than the previous actresses like Bhavika Sharma and Ayesha Singh who led the show before you?

To be honest, I don’t see it as pressure but rather as a motivation to give my best. Every actor brings their own uniqueness to a role, and I focus on delivering my performance in the most authentic and honest way possible. Instead of comparing, I see it as an opportunity to contribute my own interpretation and make the character my own.I respect the work that’s been done, but my goal is to make the role my own and give the audience something fresh to connect with.

With the legacy of the show also comes the pressure to keep up with the numbers, how prepared are you for the same?

I understand that a show with a strong legacy comes with high expectations, but rather than focusing on numbers, I choose to focus on my craft. Numbers are beyond an actor’s control. My priority is to deliver a compelling and honest performance that connects with the audience. If the story and emotions resonate, success will follow naturally. I’m fully committed to giving my best, and I trust that the hard work will reflect in the results.

How has your experience been shooting with Param and Sanam so far?

Working with both of them has been an amazing experience. They are incredibly talented and bring so much depth to their performances. Not only are they great actors, but they are also wonderful human beings who create a positive and supportive environment on set. Their dedication and professionalism are truly inspiring, and I feel lucky to share the screen with them. Our on-screen chemistry is a result of the comfort and camaraderie we share off-screen as well.
