Gaurav Khanna on chemistry with Rupali Ganguly: I like people who are funny, and I think that thing is showing

Star Plus show Anupamaa has been a rock solid TRP topper for a really long time now and it continues to grab a lot of attention for the performances, the story, and the characters as well. One of the most awaited entries on Indian television was when there were reports about Anuj Kapadia, Anuapama's friend entering the show. While speculations were rife about many actors, Gaurav Khanna finally entered the show.

Gaurav has been receiving a lot of love and while talking to India Forums, he spoke to us about the response being great and his entry, being a much talked one. Ask him about it and if the love gets overwhelming, he says, ''Yes, Anuj's entry was quite talked about entry in the Indian television space and I have been getting a very good response from the viewers, they have been loving the character of Anuj. It is very heartwarming and I feel really grateful to the almighty that I could do justice to the character written by Rajan Shahi and our creatives. I feel humbled by the process and after so many years and shows in the industry, people are now realising that I can act and I can play a character in this way, I am really happy that 'der se aye par durust aye'.''

We also asked him about his chemistry with Rupali being extremely loved. Ask him on what goes into getting the on-screen equation right, he tells us, ''Rupali Ganguly is a fantastic actor and she is my senior in this field and I have grown up watching her shows, her comic timing is amazing and I really love doing comedy myself, and that's how the vibe matched. And off-screen, she is funny as well, and I like people who are funny, and I think that thing is showing on-screen. Though her character is mostly emotional and feeling the burden of everything around her, off-screen, she is a fun loving person and that's what I like in a person, who enjoys the work they are doing, so on-screen and off-screen, it is really good.''

Currently, the show has been witnessing a bunch of tracks at the same time, but Anuj and Anupama working together has been quite the highlight and has also made way for other stories in the show so far.
