Gaurav Khanna of 'Anupamaa' fame opens up on his Diwali plans

Anupamaa fame Gaurav Khanna, who is gaining a lot of attention for his role of Anuj Kapadia and his chemistry with Rupali Ganguly is also being liked by the audience. India Forums got in touch with him to know about his Diwali plan. 

1.How are you going to celebrate Diwali this year?

This time I might be working but on Diwali but the day would be an off so would be with my wife in Mumbai. Like every year, we would do lakshmi pooja at home, decorate the house, meet friends like everybody who celebrates Diwali the same way. Every Diwali ritual is kind of same and this time also we will do lakshmi poojan at home and celebrate Diwali with friends. 

2.What are your favorite sweets that you enjoy during Diwali? 

I actually have sweets all year around I don't wait for Diwali. I have a sweet tooth and I am a foodie. But yeah I like eating good food. Since last four five years, I have been vegetarian so am enjoying the various veg cuisines.

3.Fondest memory related to Diwali? 

One of memory of Diwali would be, back home when I used to celebrate Diwali, when I was in school. Like any boy, we would burst. crackers, but its quite a bit now because of sound and environment pollution I try to stay away from all that. But back then as a child, those were the times when I used to play crackers with my family and joint family. The weather is amazing up north during the Diwali season. So these were my memories of Diwali. 

4.Any wishes or message for fans for Diwali?

My wishes for my fans would be have a wonderful and safe Diwali. May all your wishes come true. This is the festival of lights so hopefully the all mighty takes  away all the darkness of your lives and you all have a cheerful and a peaceful Diwali and a year ahead.
